For my dollars, nothing beats a piece of snacks for an instant meal this time of year. But when I need to kick it up a little, add on a new flavor or incorporate a few veggies into a food other than lunch box, these are my go-to warm summer snacks. Each one is refreshing, cool and kid-tested to boot.

Begin by adding onion powder, vegetable oil, , ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, red pepper flakes and pepper to a Ziploc bag. 

Mixed it around with your hands (or mixed it before in a bowl), then add on your crackers to the mix.

You’ll need to have a bag big enough so you do shake it around to coat each last piece.
